OUR HISTORY
With two locations in Portland, World Foods has been serving customers since 2004. We provide our customers with both fresh produce, curated beer & wine selection, local meat & seafood, traditional Lebanese cuisine, international groceries and local culinary favorites from the Pacific Northwest.

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR BAKER
  • Experience: You have a minimum of 6 months working in similar environment. Our ideal candidate will also have a minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar role.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
  • Create food such as made-to-order pizzas, pita bread, and other items.
  • Determine amount and type of food and supplies required to meet customer demand.
  • Fulfill customer made-to-order meals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare meals for the grab-and-go section, as well as the made-to-order department.
  • Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes.
  • Complete all necessary check-lists, production, and shrink logs as directed.

CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS
The following capabilities are required in order to perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden on the company are available to address the following requirements.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service, listening, speaking, and social skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills is preferred.
  • The ability to read, write, understand, and speak English is required.
  • Effective communication is Spanish is helpful.
  • Ability to communicate with fellow employees and guests.
  • The ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Must possess a valid Food Handlers’ card.
  • Frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and use hands and fingers to complete work related tasks.
  • Regularly stand, reach, push, pull, and bag products. 
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds.
