Broadway Medical Clinic - General Maintenance Worker

Broadway Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for a General Maintenance Worker. This position is Full-Time and benefited. This position’s hours will vary, but core hours are from 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional to frequent after hours and Saturday and/or Sunday hours for timely completion of projects.
 
Responsibilities for General Maintenance Worker:
  • Basic carpentry
  • Basic electrical and plumbing
  • Painting
  • Some janitorial tasks
  • Autoclaving
  • Restock common use areas of clinic with general supplies
  • Monitors and maintains common refrigerators
  • Assists in general landscaping
  • Maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas
  • Works with outside maintenance vendors as directed by manager
  • Cross-trained to provide coverage for warehouseman as needed
  • Assist in opening and closing of the building
  • Assist with security related activities
  • Assist with patient transport to and from patient vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in general maintenance roles in a like setting
  • Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
  • 1+ year experience in healthcare setting preferred
  • Organizational skills
  • Effective in time and project management skills
  • Effective able to communicate verbally and in writing, read, write, and be able to take and give instructions
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook, a plus
  • Capable of safely assisting with patient transport to and from patient vehicles
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with a desire to learn
  • This position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and stretching
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to follow all safety standards pertaining to a clinical healthcare environment
  • Manual dexterity to operate small tools, pressure washing, and painting
