Audio/Visual Warehouse Manager

Position Overview
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Company and maintaining the company’s inventory of audio/video equipment and the warehouse where equipment is stored, including building maintenance and quality control of rental inventory and transportation vehicles.

Please note, this is not a multimedia, permanent install, information technology or film industry position. Only candidates with prior live event audio visual or staging experience will be considered for this position. 
 
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate with Production Managers to develop processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy on events
  • Pulling supplies, accessories, and gear for rentals/events. 
  • Maintain equipment in inventory either through execution of minor repairs or managing the process of sending equipment out to be repaired
  • Advising clients with equipment usage, staging and tracking
  • Assisting with simple carpentry for events as needed
  • Safely travel to and from event sites to perform load ins/outs of audio/visual equipment
  • Active participant in load ins/outs, including directing warehouse employees for events
  • Overseeing process and quality control of rental equipment pick-up and returns
  • Maintaining rental inventory tracking software, acting as in-house expert to troubleshoot or assist other employees
  • Handles incoming and outgoing packages
  • Facility maintenance including cleanliness of office and warehouse, building security/fire/safety inspections, and loss/damage prevention
  • Arrangement of service and/or repair of company vehicles as needed including regular maintenance, cleanliness, and safety inspections
  • Provide guidance to technical staff and work with team members to create a collaborative team environment
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3 years of experience in event production or equipment rental/staging environment
  • Must have a valid Class B driver’s license (or obtain one within 90 days of employment) and driving record acceptable with Company’s Auto Insurance carrier
  • Basic reading and writing in English as well as mathematical skills to understand and effectively analyze quotes, contracts, & Profit & Loss reports
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and management team
  • Must be able to work in both independent and team environments while exercising discretion and good judgement
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships by taking initiative in projects and client relations
  • Must be reliable in planning, project management, and utilizing staff to accomplish projects and goals 
  • Must be able to juggle multiple issues and projects concurrently, often being flexible and resourceful, to meet client demands
  • Strong commitment to balancing Company values and customer service
  • Must be able to navigate and operate various design and office computer programs 
  • Must be able to protect and maintain confidentiality of trade secrets and client data as well as exercise caution of sensitive or protected information
  • Must be willing to work a flexible and varying work schedule outside of standard business hours, which may include evening and weekend hours to accommodate the needs of client events

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment (Computer hardware and software, Phones, Printers, Scanners, etc.)
  • Must be capable of walking, lifting, carrying, stopping, bending and twisting up to 65-85lbs

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time position. Compensation is based on experience and includes a benefit package which includes medical, dental, PTO and holiday pay for eligible employees.
