This remote position is based in Portland, Oregon, candidates must be located in the Portland metro area.

Pay Range: $28.00 – 35.00 per hour (15-20 hours per week)
Status: Non-exempt

The Bookkeeper / Office Coordinator plays a vital role in managing both financial and administrative functions for the company. From optimizing accounting software and processing payroll to managing customer contracts and maintaining office documentation, this role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the business.

You'll be responsible for managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial reports, assisting with tax preparation, and overseeing office coordination tasks like scheduling meetings and managing contracts. This remote position is based in Portland, Oregon, to ensure that the employee can access Trupp's mail at a PO box. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy a variety of responsibilities, this position is perfect for you!

Successful candidates will:
  • Have experience managing both financial and administrative tasks.
  • Possess excellent time-management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency with QuickBooks and office systems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Enter and manage financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare payroll and assist with tax preparation.
  • Generate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments.
  • Manage client contracts and coordinate with leadership on contract changes.
  • Pickup and manage incoming mail from Trupp’s PO Box in Portland, process payments, and maintain filing systems.

  • Ensure work-related activities promote the strategic objectives of clients.
  • Demonstrate expert working knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel and advanced working knowledge in PowerPoint and Outlook.
  
WHAT’S GOT YOU HERE
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping or a related role.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing situations.
