Title: Program Coordinator This position reports to: Director, Technical Assistance Salary Range: $46,000 - $55,000
Job Description The International Economic Development (IEDC) is accepting applications for a Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting advisory service and research projects, preparing information for analysis, and developing reports that support IEDC’s federal and foundation grants. This position is based in Washington DC.
Location This position is based in Washington, D.C. Team members are not required to be in the office for any specific days, however, given the need to assist in certain functions of the organization as a part of this role, the team member should be located in the DMV region.

Areas of Responsibility Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supporting projects that meet the organization’s mission and goals, especially related to work on grants and contracts.
Effectively communicating and working collaboratively with managers, external stakeholders, and internal colleagues to align work with the overall goals of the organization.
Contribute to the functions and growth of the Accredited Economic Development Organization program.
Performing administrative, program, budget, and logistical support for technical assistance and customized training projects.
Supporting team members on proposals, research reports, publications, and technical assistance materials.
Gathering information, research and developing presentations.
Ensuring that department records and databases are maintained with appropriate project descriptions and resources.
Administrative support across the department to ensure coordination among projects.
Responsible for administrative, program, and logistical support at IEDC conferences and training courses including but not limited to monitoring databases and registrations, operating online meeting technology, and conducting follow-up activities.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Specialization in a field related to economic development, public administration, or urban planning is desirable. Work experience acceptable in lieu of education requirement: candidates with at least five years of directly related work experience may be considered.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in program management.
Excellent oral and written communication and project management skills.
Ability to develop and maintain complex databases.
Experience working with clients and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly in a fastpaced environment with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to be effective independently.
Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Some out-of-town, overnight travel is possible.
