What we need from our Pizza Baker:

  • Prepare and direct preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems.
  • Create food such as made-to-order pizzas, pita bread, and other items that requires use of the Pizza Baker.
  • Determine amount and type of food and supplies required to meet customer demand.
  • Fulfill customer made-to-order meals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare meals for the grab-and-go section, as well as the made-to-order department.
  • Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes.
  • Maintain daily production records.
  • Offer customer service to all customers and guests of the store as needed.
  • Store food properly and safely.
  • Comply with established sanitation and health standards.
  • Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Ensure that work area is neat and clean at all times. Keep all food preparation equipment clean.
  • Assist other team members in keeping the deli and kitchen clean and stocked.
  • Follow established cleaning and sanitizing practices as outlined by the Executive Chef, including using proper safety equipment when handling ready-to-eat foods.
  • Backup other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth kitchen operations.


What you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and direct preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems.
  • Create food items for the kitchen and deli department.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Chef, and other kitchen personnel to ensure all recipes and menu items are prepared to World Foods standards.
  • Store food properly and safely.
  • Comply with established sanitation and health standards.
  • Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Ensure that work area is neat and clean at all times. Keep all food preparation equipment clean.
  • Assist other team members in keeping the deli and kitchen clean and stocked.
  • Follow established cleaning and sanitizing practices as outlined by the Executive Chef, including using proper safety equipment when handling ready-to-eat foods.

Capability Requirements:

The following capabilities are required in order to perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden on the company are available to address the following requirements.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 2-5 years of previous work experience as a cook, preferably in pizza and/or baking.
  • Moderate reading and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of food production techniques and tools to produce food, especially in international cuisine.
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment (i.e. oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, mixer, etc.)
  • The ability to work flexible work hours in order to meet business need.
