Title: Marketing Associate This position reports to: Senior Manager, Communications Classification: Full-Time,Exempt Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000
Description The Marketing Associate is responsible for the production of email content, press releases and other forms of communication that effectively promote IEDC’s products, services and thought leadership. This includes promotion of conferences, courses, webinars, research, awards and advocacy work. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Communications.

Roles and Responsibilities
To include, but not limited to:
In collaboration with content owners, schedule, create and deliver daily email marketing messages that effectively promote IEDC products, services and thought leadership.
In collaboration with content owners, schedule, create and deliver press releases that effectively promote IEDC products, services, thought leadership and achievements.
Coordinate and contribute to IEDC generated content for outside publications, blogs, and events.
Contribute content for IEDC website and online projects.
Coordinate media relations, including interview requests and preparation, potential outlets and pitch materials, and on-site resource for media attending IEDC events.
Monitor and provide regular metric reports related to IEDC’s total email marketing impact, across all platforms and outlets.
Monitor and manage reports on email deliverability, CTR, and list health in Hubspot
Develop content for campaigns, identify list segments and perform A/B testing
Primary Objectives
Ensure that all products, services and information produced by the organization are effectively marketed to meet the organization’s mission and financial goals.
Effectively communicate with colleagues across other departments to align your work with the overall goals of the organization.
Play a key role in achieving and surpassing revenue and registration goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the not-for-profit or association sector.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations or related field preferred; additional 6 years’ relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of 4-year degree.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
Experience providing content and copyedits for electronic marketing materials and publications.
Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal skills.
Experience in tracking email data, formulating reports and conducting A/B testing
Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases and negotiating with media – a press release would make a great writing sample!
Computer literacy in word processing, page layout and email marketing.
Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams; we work with multiple stakeholders and internal customers and are seeking a collaborative colleague.
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time – we are a high-volume communications team and we are seeking a teammate who thrives in that environment.
Out-of-town, overnight travel may be required, though rarely so.
Familiarity or experience working with Hubspot, Airtable, iMIS, and Accrisoft a definite plus.
